The inspiration behind Noir Boutique III
A gold-coloured arc around a large burgundy surface. Arcs and broad surfaces bring together cream, black, burgundy and ochre accents. Curved edges divide the image into areas of different weight, with a reading more geometric than floral; warm variations soften the dark contrast. It is the right-hand panel of Noir Boutique, presented here as an individual print. The effects of texture or depth are visual, not relief or materials added to the matte paper.

Fine-lined black furniture and a light wall can connect with this geometry.
