The inspiration behind Fragmentos de adobe I
The large terracotta surface acts as a base for the greenish-grey and cream bands. Over this distribution, curves prevent a purely horizontal reading and allow a shift from large fields to lighter details. The irregular shapes seem to fit together without quite forming a closed grid. The contrast of terracottas with cream and greenish-grey tones opens a less uniform palette, in which curved lines add a second path over the colour fields.
