The inspiration behind Indigo Imprint Triptych
Indigo Imprint combines a vocabulary of simple shapes with irregular-looking surfaces. Filled circles coexist with stacked semicircles, groups of dots and vertical lines, so each panel changes rhythm without leaving the same graphic family. Light and dark blues balance the motifs' weight over off-white. The image can recall an impression or stamping, but no undocumented original technique is attributed to it. The interest lies in organised variety: many different pieces sharing scale, colour and character.
