The inspiration behind Seda en movimiento Triptych
Seda en movimiento unites large curved bands with a visually dense surface. Deep blues alternate with ivory and sky blue, creating crests that rise and fall along the three panels. The marks depicted within each stripe provide direction and make the eye follow the path of the waves. The title invites a reading of fluidity, although the image shows a more pronounced painterly appearance than that of smooth fabric. It is a play of rhythm and contrast reproduced on paper, without added physical texture.
