The inspiration behind Gilded Eclipse Triptych
Gilded Eclipse focuses the gaze on a central circle whose outline dissolves into small gold-coloured particles. On the left, vertical lines of different lengths descend from the upper edge; on the right, several waves cross a clearer dark field. The green is not uniform: its variations create visual depth and make the figures seem to emerge slowly. The composition uses few elements and plenty of distance between them, inviting the triptych to be read as a sequence of silence, emergence and movement.
