Choosing blue by its intensity and form
In Blue, a leaf with a fine outline occupies the wall differently from a cobalt current or an indigo circle. Compare the amount of light background and the size of the motif, as well as the shade: a print with delicate lines calls for a closer look; a broad shape is easier to recognise from the other end of the living room.
An individual print lets you bring that blue to a narrow wall or a reading corner. For a larger composition, the triptych brings together three related images, not three copies of the same one. Try light wood and natural-coloured textiles alongside intense blues; if you choose the set, calculate the width of the three panels plus the gaps.
